The Wisconsin Corn•Soy Expo once again proved why it has become one of the Midwest’s premier gatherings for grain farmers, industry partners and agricultural leaders. This year’s event drew more than 1,200 attendees, filling the trade show floor, breakout rooms and meeting spaces with conversation, collaboration and momentum for Wisconsin agriculture.
So much that President of the American Soybean Association (ASA) Scott Metzger and several other national ag leaders referred to the Expo as a “mini Commodity Classic,” a nod to the caliber of programming, engagement and industry presence packed into two days in Wisconsin.
The Expo agenda reflected the plethora of issues facing today’s farmers. Attendees had access to high-level keynote presentations on markets, policy and global trade, alongside practical, farm-level sessions on technology, crop protection, sustainability and risk management. Breakout rooms were consistently full as growers dove into topics ranging from precision agriculture and data management to renewable fuels, new uses for corn and soy and the future of livestock and bioeconomy markets.
“Events like the Corn•Soy Expo don’t just inform today’s decisions, they help shape the future of Wisconsin agriculture,” said Luke Goessling, Wisconsin Soybean Association (WSA) director. “The conversations happening here will have lasting impacts on our farms, our markets and our communities.”
Beyond the educational programming, the Expo served as a vital networking hub. The expansive trade show connected farmers with more than 120 exhibitors showcasing the latest in equipment, seed, crop inputs and ag innovation.
“This is a very important event for us to sponsor and be part of for the networking across different industries that are here but also different growers,” said Vince Davis, technical services representative with BASF Agricultural Solutions, which served as a sponsor of the event. “It really brings together a perfect blend of agronomy information, marketing, everything across the board that’s important for row crop agriculture and the farmers in our state.”
Evening events brought the ag community together in a more relaxed setting, reinforcing that the Expo is as much about relationships as it is about information. Conversations continued long after sessions ended, reflecting the shared commitment to advancing Wisconsin agriculture.
“Nano-Yield is just breaking into the upper Midwest on the corn and soybean side of the market, and I’ve been attending the Corn•Soy Expo for the last 10 years through previous jobs,” said Kyleen Bruss, regional sales manager for Nano-Yield. “I’ve had great interactions here, and I knew this was an event I wanted to help sponsor to keep healthy and keeping going for future years.”
As attendees headed home, one message was clear: the Wisconsin Corn•Soy Expo is not just a conference, but a cornerstone event that strengthens the state’s farming community, fuels innovation and elevates Wisconsin’s voice on the national stage. Plans are already underway to make next year’s Expo even stronger. Stay tuned for details of next year’s event.
