Wisconsin agriculture’s premier grower event is just around the corner!

The Wisconsin Corn·Soy Expo returns Feb. 1-2, 2024, at the Kalahari Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells. Gathering more than 1,200 corn and soybean growers and pork producers, the two-day trade show and educational program boasts more than 125 exhibitors from across the country.

“The Corn·Soy Expo is once again something many farmers and other people in ag will want to put on their calendars,” said Sara Stelter, president of the Wisconsin Soybean Association (WSA). “Besides great speakers, important workshops, a large trade show, ‘Porkapalooza’ and a fun night of entertainment, there will be a change in the way yield contest winners are announced and a celebration of WSA’s 50th anniversary.”

Hosted by WSA, the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association (WCGA) and the Wisconsin Pork Association (WPA), the agenda is packed with opportunities to dive into the latest industry research and trends. The program kicks off on Thursday, Feb. 1, with a keynote address from Angie Setzer, who has been in the cash grain industry for nearly 20 years and launched Consus Ag Consulting in 2021. Setzer’s presentation will be followed by a market development panel and multiple breakout sessions. And, back by popular demand is the Beer & Bull Session on Thursday afternoon, allowing attendees a chance to ask agronomic questions over an ice-cold beverage.

“This event is a great place for people to gather and brainstorm with growers from all around the state,” said Mark Hoffmann, WCGA president. “The quality of general speakers, breakout sessions and tradeshow exhibitors will make this year the best show yet.”

A Farm Bill session will start the day on Friday morning featuring policy leaders from the national corn, soy and pork advocacy organizations. Rob Sharkey, better known as the Shark Farmer, returns as lunch keynote speaker on Friday. Sharkey is an Illinois grain farmer, owner of a whitetail deer hunting outfitter, podcast and radio show host and host of multiple TV shows on RFD-TV and PBS.

“WPA is a proud partner of the 2024 Wisconsin Corn·Soy Expo,” said WPA Treasurer Brian Klubertanz. “Our pigs are great customers of the corn and soybeans raised in this state, so it makes sense for us to be a part of this event. I’m excited about the general sessions, industry seminars and Porkapalooza, which will feature bacon, beverages and a band to enjoy while networking.”
